We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to help lead the ambitious effort to staff Alliance’s roughly 200 open positions each year through the recruitment & selection of selection of teachers, other school-based professionals, and home office staff. This is an exciting opportunity to build & implement systems and processes from scratch to develop pipelines of highly qualified candidates, select the best fit candidates, and monitor the execution and effectiveness of strategies throughout the year. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also manage Alliance’s Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced recruiter with a proven track record of recruiting and selecting successful educators and other school-based staff. S/he will be a “people-person” and a skilled project manager, with a keen eye for talent and ideally experience working in schools.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outreach
Works closely with other Home Office staff to develop and implement best-in-class approaches to recruiting the top teaching, leadership, and management talent nationally.
Develops and executes an innovative national marketing campaign to promote Alliance brand awareness and specific vacancies through advertisements in a variety of mediums, participation at targeted events, and through ongoing relationships.
Identifies and develops high-leverage partnerships to build pipelines of candidates and conducts extensive outreach and networking with undergraduate and graduate schools, service organizations, and affinity groups to build Alliance visibility and attract candidates.
Demonstrates and articulates a thorough understanding of Alliance and each of its schools, and articulately communicates to candidates the value of working at Alliance.
Manages candidate relationships from recruitment through hire.
Selection
Develops strategies, policies, processes and tools that are sustainable and replicable to support and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates.
Tracking Success
Works with other Home Office talent colleagues to develop and implement a high-quality selection model based on best practices in the education sector.
Works closely with Alliance principals and hiring managers to understand school-specific cultures and needs to ensure the presentation of best-fit candidates for every role.
Screens a high volume of applications, credentials, references, and resumes, and conducts candidate phone screens.
Manages the Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Works with other Home Office talent staff to develop recruitment & selection goals and identify metrics to evaluate the success of the team’s efforts.
Develops and implements efficient systems to track candidate recruitment & selection.
Identifies and implements technology tools to support recruitment & selection processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
Bachelor’s degree
2-3 years of experience working in recruitment & selection, preferably at a fast-paced charter school network, urban school district, or other education reform organization
Experience within the education sector, preferably in schools
Experience managing at least one direct report is preferred

COMPENSATION:
Alliance College-Ready Public Schools prides itself in offering its employees a competitive salary and a rich group benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage for the employee and her/his eligible dependents. The annual salary range for this position is $60-65,000, depending on experience. Retirement benefits are also offered and include a generous employer match/contribution.
