Job Description
Design and oversee evaluation studies of community-based programs through research, instrument design, data collection, data entry, data analysis, report writing, and presenting findings. This position requires experience in social science research and program evaluation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to design quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and methodologies.
Facilitate meetings, interviews, and focus groups discussions.
Conduct secondary source research or literature reviews.
Analyze data and graphically illustrate data in a variety of formats.
Develop written evaluation reports.
Present findings to stakeholders.
Communicate regularly with clients, support client needs, and attend and participate in project and client meetings.
Participate in proposal development.
Required Qualifications
Advanced degree or equivalent in the Social Sciences or related field.
Minimum of three to five years of qualitative and quantitative social science research and evaluation experience.
Strong writing skills and analytical ability.
Demonstrated excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with staff and as part of a team.
Understanding of program budgets and experience developing work plans within budget constraints.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and creatively problem solve.
Willingness to initiate self-directed learning and contribute positively to LPCs organizational capacity and culture.
Ability to represent LPC professionally and appropriately across a variety of stakeholders and contexts.
Preferential Considerations for the Following Skills
Experience with Tableau software.
Experience with ArcGIS.
Ability to work with analysis software packages (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, etc.)
Ability to perform statistical analyses.
Proficiency in Spanish, or another language in addition to English.
Project management experience.
Experience working in consulting.
