Senior Research Analyst – The Camstoll Group LLC – Washington, DC

The Camstoll Group is a tight-knit, fast growing sanctions and illicit finance research and advisory firm with decades of combined government and private sector experience combating the world’s most complex national security and financial crime challenges.

Utilizing proprietary open-source research methods, network analysis, and data analytics, we generate insights into today’s most complex policy, regulatory or competitive challenges. In particular, we are experts in assessing and analyzing markets impacted by regulatory risk, sanctioned actors, political upheaval, violent conflict, and corruption. Our clients are financial institutions, multinational corporations, and governments.

We are seeking senior research analysts with 4 to 10 years of professional experience to our research staff in our Washington, DC or Los Angeles offices.

The successful candidate will be intelligent, accomplished and energetic as demonstrated by his or her professional and academic record.

A number of positive traits or experiences for a successful senior research analyst may include:

A proven track record of excellence in open source research and analysis;

Demonstrated expertise with a particular sanctions or illicit finance challenge;

Experience mentoring and supervising less experienced analysts in research and analysis tradecraft;

An ability to organize and motivate analysts to satisfy tight ongoing deadlines without sacrificing quality of analysis; and

An aptitude for advising senior officers in an organization on complex substantive matters.
