Campaign Director – The Bully Project – Brooklyn, NY

The BULLY Project is a full spectrum advocacy campaign inspired by the award-winning documentary Bully. We are dedicated to addressing the global bullying epidemic through the power of story, education and community engagement.

The BULLY Project was launched in 2013. To date, 4 million kids have seen the film for free thanks to our 10 Million Kids Campaign. Our Educators Toolkit includes numerous resources designed around the film to teach Social and Emotional Learning practices in schools and communities. In 2014, in partnership with Adobe, we launched The Bully Project Mural, a digital mosaic for people to share their art, stories, and perspectives about bullying, its impact, and how we can help stop it. We are currently developing Project-Based Learning exercises around the mural for educators, with the goal of reaching 1 million submissions from students all over the world. After the success of our 2014 Mayors Campaign, which saw 200 mayors pledge to end bullying, we are now working with a number of physicians and health practitioners on our Physicians Campaign, designed to teach physicians how to recognize signs and symptoms of bullying. Working with agencies on a federal level, the campaign will be rolled out mid-2016.

Our social media community is fundamental to our success. We have 1.1 million likes on Facebook, with a weekly reach of between 6 and 10 million people, as well as over 44 thousand followers on Twitter. The BULLY Project has seen the film screen at the White House and Congress, and has been described by the Obama Administration as “a powerful call to action”. We are setting up new BULLY Projects in Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia, while continuing to expand our reach nationally each year.

With this growing national and international profile, an exciting opportunity has opened up for a new Campaign Director to help continue to develop the organization’s profile and maximize its impact into the future.
