Member Services Manager – Compass Housing Alliance – Seattle, WA

POSITION: The Member Services Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and staffing monthly General Membership meetings, and providing staffing support for three monthly Population Committee meetings. This position will develop high quality case manager trainings for staff working in a variety of homeless services and affordable housing settings, and ensure strong engagement of staff of member organizations in all Coalition activities. The Member Services Manager will have primary responsibility for activities relating to dues-paying member organizations, including ensuring timely renewals, re-engagement of lapsed members, and cultivation of prospective members. The person in this position will work closely with the Executive Director, other staff, and volunteers serving in leadership roles, to assess current member services, activities, and priorities, and develop and implement a sustainable body of work for the future.

ORGANIZATION: The Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness (The Coalition) works collaboratively to ensure safety and survival for people who are homeless, and to end the crisis of homelessness in our region. Our current annual budget is $333,000. Compass Housing Alliance (Compass) is the fiscal sponsor for the Coalition, and this position will be employed through Compass. Compass develops and provides essential services and affordable housing for homeless and low-income people in the greater Puget Sound region. STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

SCHEDULE: Days (9am-5pm), Monday – Friday with availability to work varied hours including some nights and weekends as necessary

SALARY: Within ranges

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters’ degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience in a social services/non-profit/service-based environment, certificate and/or continuing professional development or education.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a paid or significant volunteer role in human or social services, membership or community-based organization desired.
Familiarity with practice, programmatic, and public policy responses to homelessness, poverty, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence.
Familiarity with planning and staffing meetings, workshops, events, or task-focused groups.
Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment to establish an effective and sustainable program of member services that advances the Coalition’s mission.
