About Us:
Bayview/Hunters Point Community Legal is the first nonprofit in the country to guarantee the ability to access legal representation for everyone living in a single neighborhood. We believe that everyone should be able to use the law to improve their lives and solve their problems. We believe that when this happens, poverty can be dramatically reduced.
We are a new, rapidly growing, and innovative nonprofit that has been operational for a little more than two years. In that time we have increased our budget ten-fold. Eventually, we plan to expand our service area and start incubating other legal aid nonprofits around the city so that every San Franciscan can use the law to improve their life.

Responsibilities:
Finding and persuading new donors to support us.
Planning fundraising events.
Managing our marketing/messaging strategy.
Coordinating outreach activities.
Requirements:
This position requires a lot of grit. Development is hard work and there is never a clear, linear path towards achieving an objective. The ability to work past challenges and solve problems quickly is key. Confidence, passion, and meticulous preparation are the hallmarks of a successful development officer.
