The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) works to ensure that the nation’s 1-in-5 children, adolescents, and adults with learning and attention issues have every opportunity to succeed in school, work, and life. NCLD provides essential information to parents, professionals, and individuals with learning disabilities, promotes research and programs, and advocates for federal and state policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities.
Public policy internships take place in our Washington, D.C. office. A position is currently available for summer, 2016. The position is unpaid; however, NCLD will provide reimbursement for travel expenses as well as a $10/day lunch stipend for days with 4 or more hours on site. Internships typically extend from May–early August but arrangements can be made for special circumstances. Internships require a commitment of up to 20 hours per week.
