Crossroads’ of East Boston’s core services is providing family shelter, stabilization and related supports under contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCH). Crossroads currently maintains 27 shelter units, including 15 congregate units at its main facility and 12 scattered site shelter units in nine leased apartments in East Boston. Contracted shelter and stabilization services include 24 hour direct support services by Family Advocates; Case Management and Housing Search. St. Mary’s Center seeks a qualified professional who will be responsible for managing its annual budget, approximately 20 employees, and providing strength-based trauma informed care to 85 families including 120 children; aftercare stabilization services to approximately 40 families and food pantry assistance to more than 200 East Boston residents.
The Administration and Operations Manager will work closely with the Director. This administrative professional will assist with coordinating internal and external meetings with stakeholders by scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and completing follow-up tasks. Assist with contract administration duties, preparing reports, and billing documentation. Maintain information management systems associated with funders, including individual donors, corporations and foundations and timelines for submitting funding requests. Assist with grant proposal preparation, including drafting/editing written materials, gathering and preparing required documentation and coordinating timely submission of all proposal request. Will assist with coordinating client exits and transitions from shelter, as well as participate in monthly scattered site inspections and initiate appropriate follow-up. Must have 2-4 years administrative experience, excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as written and oral communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required and equivalent years in the human services field.
When driving St. Mary’s vehicles, you must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and meet minimum safe driver criteria established by the Agency.
