The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the organization’s Executive Director and other staff members toward the successfu implementation of programmatic and fundraising initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
• Ensure regular communication between personnel, contractors and volunteer members through regular email, phone and personal communication;
• Maintain a schedule, coordinate logistics and prepare materials for organization’s trainings, roundtable discussions, policy summits, focus groups, community awareness forums and other events;
• Assist with the coordination and evaluation of the organization’s programmatic activities;
• Assist with dissemination and tracking of education materials;
• Update and manage the organization’s eTapestry and other databases;
• Update and manage the organization’s website and social networking platforms;
• Assist with fundraising events, including securing corporate sponsorships, auction donations and ticket sales;
• Assist with the completion of annual reports for institutional funders;
• Organize, and maintain all documents for storage and easy retrieval;
• Attend bi-monthly membership meetings, take minutes and distribute;
• Attend bi-monthly Steering Committee meetings, take minutes and distribute;
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings with Executive Director and weekly staff meetings.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree;
• Minimum of two (2) experience working in the nonprofit or related industry;
• Experience working in a deadline driving environment;
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
