About MyPath
A national nonprofit headquartered in the Mission District of San Francisco, MyPath (formerly Mission SF Community Financial Center) places low-income youth and young adults on a path to economic mobility by ensuring they have access to quality financial products, a working knowledge of the financial system, and a peer-based social support system that encourages personal goal-setting and accountability. To this end, MyPath designs and tests innovative program models that engage low-income youth in banking, saving and credit-building when they are earning their first paychecks. Our results and best practices have been published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Journal of Consumer Affairs and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Over the last two years, MyPath has been designing and testing a nationally-focused technical assistance and Train-the-Trainer program to prepare cities to adopt our models and best practices. With MyPath initiatives now running in San Francisco; San Jose; East Palo Alto; Reno, NV; Ferguson, MO; and five more coming on board for 2016, MyPath is poised for continued expansion and impact.
Our office is friendly and fast-paced, with ten staff, and youth here on site twice a week. We share space with Self-Help Credit Union, located near BART stations at 16th Street and 24th Street. To learn more about MyPath, visit us at[[http:MyPathUS.org|MyPathUS.org]].
