Progress Foundation is a non-profit mental health provider that contracts with the City and County of San Francisco, Napa County, and the Sonoma County’s to provide residential treatment and supported housing alternatives to psychiatric institutionalization. The agency provides services through twelve licensed treatment settings and an Urgent Care Clinic, along with supported housing services in apartments and federally funded HUD buildings throughout San Francisco. Progress also operates two licensed treatment settings in Napa, along with supported housing services in apartments and a HUD building, and two-licensed treatment setting in Santa Rosa.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision and direction of the Napa-Sonoma Clinical Director, the Assistant Clinical Director Napa-Sonoma (ACDNS) has responsibility for the administrative and programmatic operations of the agency’s treatment programs.
The ACDNS is responsible for ensuring that all Napa and Sonoma programs comply with the policies and procedures of Progress Foundation, the Counties of Napa, and Sonoma, and with the regulations of the State Department of Mental Health and the State Department of Social Services.
This position is a member of Progress Foundation senior management team, and participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures affecting the operation and direction of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters degree in a mental health related field.
• At least five years of experience in a community mental health program with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement, depending of the nature and length of experience.
• Specific experience in residential treatment services, alternatives to institutional care, and/or social rehabilitation programs is required.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, along with the ability to work independently and to exercise sound clinical and administrative judgment.
• Demonstrated experience with, and sensitivity to, the needs and circumstances of persons with severe and persistent mental illness. This should include direct service experience with a culturally diverse client population.
• Must consistently demonstrate and acceptable level of maturity, good judgment and emotional stability.
• Must maintain criminal record clearance with Community Care Licensing.
• Must be able to negotiate several flights of stairs in a safe and reasonable manner and in a safe and reasonable time frame many times during each work shift.
• Must have own transportation and maintain insurability under the prevailing Progress Foundation auto insurance policy.

BENEFITS:
– Annual Salary: $70,000. Plus benefits which begins 1st of the month after 30 days of employment- – – Includes 4% non-matching Retirement Benefits — vests after one year of employment, fully paid – — – Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and EAP.
