Associate Director – Diamond State Community Land Trust

DESCRIPTION
The person in this position works with and reports directly to the Executive Director and has major duties including:
development of permanently affordable housing projects
work with the DSCLT team to compete successfully for necessary grants, both public and private
lead stewardship efforts of preserving and maintaining the permanently affordable inventory of homes
work with staff and board of directors to strengthen our community-based organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A combination of undergraduate education and practical experience is desired in this position. The strongest candidate would be someone with successful experience in single-family or multi-family housing development and construction, project management, project financing and budget monitoring, and a working knowledge of the permitting and inspection process. In addition, experience in grant-writing and preparing funding/financing applications is a great strength.

PREFERRED SKILLS
The person who would succeed in this position would have strong background in housing development, an interest in working for a nonprofit organization, an understanding and ability to advocate for the community land trust (CLT) model, and a willingness to learn and to assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
