Exodus Transitional Community, Inc. is a cutting edge faith-based reentry program seeking a dynamic, self-driven, passionate individual to join our newly created OASAS licensed Substance abuse program. We have been providing Reentry services for 16 years to men and women returning into their communities after incarceration and youth groups to young adults 16-25 who are at risk. We are now providing out-patient services to our population.
The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight of job performance, guidance and direct supervision of the Program Manager, medical and consulting staff. S/he promotes an atmosphere that encourages individualized services and participant involvement in all programs. S/he ensures the efficient scheduling, delivery and timely documentation of group and individual counseling and support services delivered by the unit’s clinical staff. The Clinical Director works hands on with the clinical staff in providing daily guidance to the clinical team. This position incorporates clinical skills and administrative tasks with the expectation that this supervisor level employee takes independent initiative while exercising sound judgment in the day-to-day clinical operations of the treatment program.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and implements clinical care services for the treatment program.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures and clinical support services.
Provide crisis intervention services.
Conduct utilization review, incident management and review and quality assurance reviews.
Assure that staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records that comply with OASAS standards and Exodus policy and procedures.
Provides and implements formal orientation plan to newly hired direct staff and assures all direct staff are adequately trained.
Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
Provides direct supervision for designated staff as per Exodus and/or OASAS policies.
Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision.
Lead quality management activities in collaboration with Program Manager.
Represents Exodus at community and public forums.
Other relevant duties as assigned by Executive Director and Associate Director.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Master’s Level Clinical Degree and experience working in a substance abuse service setting preferred.
Two (2) years of experience delivering supervision preferred.
Qualified Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC etc.)
Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs).
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
