Duties and Responsibilities
Planning & Communications
Coordinate special projects for Executive Director
Support Executive Director and senior team in strategic communication efforts focused on generating revenue, expanding agency circle of influencer advocates, raising agency public profile and creating strategic partnerships
Collaborate with Program Infrastructure Coordinator and other staff to create and execute media strategy including drafting press releases, social networking, and communications/messaging writing
Create agency collateral materials for general and issue/event specific use external in print and online format
Support/draft presentation materials for public presentations/trainings
Manage agency website and Facebook page with regular updates of new content. Coordinate Twitter and LinkedIn social media with Program Infrastructure Coordinator
Plan agency annual multi day conference in collaboration with senior team and external stakeholders, serving as lead project manager on all aspects of the conference planning
Plan logistics aspects of agency annual Think Tank and regional Community Conversation Events in collaboration with Program Infrastructure Coordinator
Manage contacts database
Facilitate special event registration and execution
Staff exhibitor tables for agency at special events, representing agency work and team values well through personal presentation and networking abilities
Manage all digital media production including graphics, photos and video
Collaborate with staff and vendors in the creation of digital media content and design
Actively identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with web, mobile, streaming and associated platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Experience managing digital campaigns and tools; proven understanding of marketing analytics and experience with social advocacy campaigns that drive membership and community engagement
Proficiency in creating and editing audio and visually compelling content, such as photos, video and design elements. Clear understanding and be an active participant in social media.
Knowledge of relevant software and web applications, such as HTML, CSS, as well as graphics applications and techniques. Experience with back/frontend website maintenance, especially in Drupal environment.
Superior written and oral communication skills. Experience with project management.
Creative experience with graphic design, including typography, layout, color, and use of imagery. Knowledge of online best practices and presentation techniques.
Abilities to train staff in order to learn new systems and processes.
Ability to interact effectively with various people and departments in collaborative settings, but also must have the ability to work independently on multiple deadline-driven projects
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Proven “customer service” attitude
At least 4 years’ experience in communications and marketing field. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
Intermediate level proficiency with:
Windows 8
Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Adobe Acrobat
Familiarity with social network and blogging sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
Ability to travel for short business trips
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for a non-profit organization
Commitment to healthy living and health education

Conditions: Job tasks are normally performed in a typical office environment. This position is full time.
