GENERAL FUNCTION
The Coordinator, Programs and Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and special project support for the Cancer Support Community (CSC) Programs and Services Division that encompasses the departments of Program Development and Delivery, Education and Outreach, and the Research and Training Institute. This position will provide administrative and technology support for the Cancer Support Helpline and The Living Room, as well as program services statistical tracking and monthly reporting. In addition, this position will provide administrative assistance related to CancerSupportSource distress screening as well as support for activities in the areas of program development and affiliate communications. The Coordinator, Programs and Services will be responsible for assistance with and coordination of grant submissions and monitoring for the Programs and Services Division.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative and Project Support, including but not limited to:
Serve as administrative coordinator for the Cancer Support Helpline, CancerSupportSource (CSS) and The Living Room
Provide online administrative information and coordinate support in non-technical areas to online support group (OSG) facilitators and/or OSG members
Coordinate and track the Program Development and Delivery Department’s monthly affiliate Program Director (PD) conference calls and rosters
Generate monthly data reports for the Helpline, The Living Room, CancerSupportSource and designated specific projects and divisional contracts
Maintain and update program materials as needed and coordinate existing Mobile Application content updates
Coordinate, enter and maintain Program and Services Division-related web content
Provide assistance with and coordination of the Program and Services Division’s grant submissions and monitoring
Represent and support CSC presence at conferences and other events
Coordinate meetings and retreats for Program and Services Division
Coordinate facility needs for the New York City office of CSC
Other duties as assigned
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field. One to 2 years work experience minimum, can include internships.
Track record of effective use of technology
Excellent listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
Strong proofreading and editing skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong telephone and e-mail communication skills, including the ability to use tact and professionalism with a wide range of audiences
Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
