Who are we?
The Center for Social Change houses an innovative, rapidly expanding co-working space for nonprofits and businesses with a social purpose. We help amplify the impact of the good people making change in Miami through our collaborative workspace, programs and events. Your work here has the potential to reach a huge variety of people in need by supporting those who are helping them.
Why Work with Us?
We are rapidly expanding and you have the potential to help shape the future of our intern and volunteer program with your ideas. We are flexible in creating a custom internship that will provide you with the experiences you crave and the work we need. We also have a wellness program including weekly yoga and meditation that will be free to you.
Below are the specific activities we have outlined for a DOPE intern, however if you would like to mix and match from the other internship descriptions, let us know. We can create a custom package that develops your skills and accommodates your schedule.
Operations & Data
Enter and/or collect data in connection with co-working members, programs, etc.
Assistance with creating/recording procedures and processes
Create preliminary forms for data collection
Assistance with program and event coordination
Contact Management
Business card entry and categorization
Assist marketing team with targeted e-mails
Organization
Room set-up and break down for events and programs
Help organize closets and general co-working space
Guest Conductor
Answer phones
Welcome and sign-in guests
Tend to coffee, office plants, etc.
Create and operate TV slideshow
Internship Schedule and Other Details:
Minimum of 5 hours per week, preferably completed during normal business hours (9-5pm) at our physical office.
Minimum commitment of 1 semester (fall, spring, summer).
Note this is an unpaid internship; however, if this will be a challenge for you, please let us know and we can discuss a needs-based stipend.
