DESCRIPTION
Arizona Wins is seeking an experienced Deputy Director. The Deputy Director will coordinate some of the most exciting progressive electoral and advocacy work in the nation’s newest battleground state. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will work closely with our 22 partners as they plan and execute extensive and impactful electoral and advocacy campaigns.

Location
Based in Phoenix, Arizona
Responsibilities
4 Working with our coalition partners to design an overall statewide voter education and political plan based on achieving short and long-term priorities
4 Work with partner groups to facilitate execution of electoral and legislative advocacy plan including tracking and identify areas that may need additional assistance.
4 Provide technical assistance to partners on plan execution.
4 Provide assistance to Executive Director in creation of materials for funders, partners, and allies relating to state plans and campaigns.
4 Track political environment and developments.
4 Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required
4 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in political campaigns, nonprofit community organizing, labor or similar organizations.
4 Field organizing experience, including door to door canvassing
4 Ability to build consensus among a diverse group of individuals and organizations
4 Ability to build strong relationships quickly and to cultivate those relationships over the long term
4 Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively by making and meeting team goals.
4 Ability to travel through the state as necessary
4 Ability to work long and irregular campaign hours as needed
4 Commitment to progressive ideals
4 Experience working with underrepresented and/or diverse communities

Preferred
4 Experience facilitating and working in coalitions
Knowledge of Arizona political landscape
