The White Center Food Bank (WCFB) is seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced fundraising professional to grow the fundraising capacity of the WCFB in partnership with our Executive Director and Board of Directors. The Development Director will be responsible for growing our current donor base, executing events, managing marketing and communications and implementing a strategic development plan that generates a diverse base of support from individuals, corporations, foundations, churches, civic groups and public agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and oversee a fundraising plan that increases funding to WCFB.
Manage and grow the fundraising capacity for the WCFB.
Design and launch a capital campaign.
Maintain donor database and ensure accuracy of data.
Lead the planning and successful execution of the Annual Harvest Dinner & Auction and other donor events throughout the year.
Ensure positive donor relations including timely and appropriate donor acknowledgements.
Oversee WCFB communications through social media, newsletters and website.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports to funders and stakeholders.
Engage in individual, corporate and foundation research to increase donor base and submit RFP’s and grants.
Create reports on donor activity as requested by the ED and Board.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of fundraising experience.
Demonstrated ability to work with a team and volunteers
Previous experience managing a successful capital campaign strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong event management experience.
Technical savvy and proficiency with donor database software.
The ability to multi-task in a very busy work environment.
Ability to take direction, manager projects independently, and work accurately under a deadline.
Salary and Benefits:
Full time exempt, some weekends and evenings required.
Salary $60K-$72K DOE
Medical/Dental/Vision after 30 days; 403B plan after 1 year; paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.
