DESCRIPTION
SurvJustice is an equal-opportunity employer immediately seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial fundraising professional to join our small and growing organization as the Director of Development. This is a senior management level position directly responsible for all development and fundraising initiatives at SurvJustice. This is a unique opportunity to support the growth of this rapidly expanding national organization that provides direct assistance to survivors of campus sexual violence across the country. This individual will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on setting and executing both short and long-term fundraising and outreach goals of the organization.

DUTIES
Manage SurvJustice’s donor/funder tracking programs;
Lead, and actively participate in, efforts to increase the amounts of all gifts and grants;
Oversee the preparation of high-quality and timely grant proposals, solicitations, funder reports, acknowledgements, and any other communications required to support ongoing fundraising activities;
Provide assistance and leadership to the Executive Director to build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and to cultivate effective, meaningful relationships with prospects that result in measurable results;
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies and tactics that support organizational and programmatic growth to achieve the organization’s strategic plan objectives;
Secure funds from local and national sources (individuals, corporations, foundations) and provide direction, support, and leadership to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, engaging and involving them effectively in this effort;
Contribute to accountant’s efforts to develop monthly revenue and forecast-based financial reports; &
Organize and oversee minimum of one event annually and evaluate the capacity for additional fundraising events.
