Monroe College’s Queens Extension Site is seeking a Director of Admissions to Chinese Community to build its Undergraduate and Graduate enrollment including ESL from within the Chinese communities of New York City, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This goal driven individual needs to have strong contacts at organizations, educational institutions and businesses within the Chinese communities in New York City and overseas. This individual will be leading new enrollment college-wide for Monroe’s certificate and degree programs for local and international students and participating in international recruitment trips as part of the Chinese enrollment management team. Written and verbal fluency in Mandarin and English is required. Competitive salary with benefits.
Skills & Abilities: self-starting individual who is goal oriented, has strong organizational skills, and a developed list of outreach contacts or networks
Education: Bachelor Degree required
Experience: related minimum 10 years of experience in a business environment
Computer Skills: proficient PC skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs
Other requirements: must have thorough reading/writing/speaking knowledge of English and Mandarin Chinese and have in-depth understanding of cultural nuances in both Chinese communities of New York City and Chinese communities overseas.
