Director of Programs / Operations / Christian Maternity Home – Harvest Home – Santa Monica, CA

Position Summary: Harvest Home is seeking a mature, Christian individual to fill this full-time position. The purpose of the Director of Programs and Operations position is to oversee day-to-day operations, develop programs and ensure that clients receive case-appropriate support across all five program service areas.

Weekly Schedule Monday through Friday – 9am-5pm. Flexibility of schedule to work evenings and weekends when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide leadership for Harvest Home’s residential and alumnae program; Supervise program staff
Develop and maintain systems, policies, and processes to ensure program effectiveness
Build and manage volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision
Develop and maintain partnerships with partner agencies and organizations
Coordinate in-home classes and events for clients
Manage office operations and maintain upkeep of Harvest Home facilities, proactively addressing needs for purchases, repairs, or improvements
Measure program performance and impact; Regularly report program measures and statistics to Executive Director and Board of Directors; Develop and implement program evaluation methods
Support the Executive Director in community outreach, attending networking events and speaking engagements as needed
Address program gaps; Implement strategic growth and strengthening of all programs as needed

Qualifications

Strong leadership experience
Spiritual and emotional maturity; Must exhibit strong character and integrity
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage time well and work autonomously; Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong logistical and administrative skills
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills; resourceful; organized
Ability to uphold a professional demeanor and interact effectively with clients, volunteers, donors, and the general public
Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software and social media

Preferred Experience

5+ years work experience in non-profit sector, social services, or Christian ministry
4 year degree required, Graduate degree preferred
Experience working with at-risk women or families
Experience managing staff or leading teams to successfully accomplish goals
Please note this is not a direct service role, but the ideal candidate would have direct service experience, or an intimate understanding of client services, and skills and/or experience in program development or management.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 40 pounds and be physically active.

Valid California Driver’s license and clean driving record
Comprehensive background check including fingerprinting
