JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction and guidance of the Vice President, Development, the Director, Shared Services provides the day-to-day support and fulfillment requirements to fundraisers in the Development Department across multiple large/complex Workplace campaign accounts. With a Client Services orientation, the Director will work closely with the peer Directors of Major Accounts, Major Gifts and others to ensure timely and effective service and support to both individuals and companies, and the attainment of annual work plan and goals. Supervising a team of support staff, the Director will oversee: a) the coordination of shared services, b) the execution of annual strategic account planning, c) CEO Call and Senior Level Workplace engagement strategies, and d) support for board related activities. The Director will also support the organization in managing the Development Department’s planning process and revenue forecasts, coordinating, and providing data requests required to manage the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support Development teams in the pursuit of revenue growth by coordinating, planning, and delivering shared services across key Workplace campaign accounts.
Execute CEO Call strategy for top Workplace accounts.
Serve as primary liaison with IT, Community Impact, Marketing, Finance, and Gift Processing departments in the management and tracking of data, monitoring progress toward goals, analyzing trends, identifying inefficiencies in workflows, and developing systems for improvement.
Possess excellent project management, problem solving, team building, and consensus building skills.
Ensure development of strategic account planning for all Workplace accounts.
Manage key resources in the flawless execution of Workplace campaigns.
Develop year-round engagement opportunities to institutionalize United Way giving within key accounts.
Proactively address challenges so revenue generating roles remain in front of key accounts.
Provide excellent customer service to external/internal customers.
Train and develop Shared Services team to ensure consistent excellent customer service.
Supervise administrative and development support staff, including Development associates, Loan Executives, and Donor Services customer support.
Implement enabling technologies, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), to Development teams.
Develop metrics to track improvements in productivity and effectiveness in conjunction with creation of all inclusive dashboard for internal and external CEO/Senior Management clients.
Oversee scheduling of account needs, including presentation, material, rallies, volunteer days, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure implementation of Leadership campaigns within all key Workplace accounts.
Provide campaign tracking tools and annual campaign progress year-to-date reports that may be used for presentations to staff, board, and campaign committees.
Oversee the data collection and research of Client and Donor profiles.
Analyze fiscal and revenue data to identify areas of success and shortfalls to assist with peer Directors and the Vice President in development of appropriate strategies to address challenges.
Monitor annual calendar that includes key dates for campaign deadlines, planning process, revenue forecasts, and performance reviews.
Manage the year-end close of all revenue generating accounts and ensure receipt of pledge envelopes, gifts processed, etc., with support of Gift Processing and Finance.
Ensure team presents benefits of utilizing eWAY and other tools for more efficient gift processing.
Facilitate internal monthly development meetings and support board activities including the staffing of the Campaign Cabinet.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5-7 years progressively responsible development experience in fundraising, sales management, and/or customer service experience for high volume institutions and organizations.
Must have developed, trained, and built successful sales/fundraising teams.
Must have high level of accuracy, detail orientation, excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Must possess excellent professional communication skills (written and verbal).
Must be able to work collaboratively with all organizational levels within a diverse environment.
Must have experience generating strategic and creative ideas into actionable systems and fund development.
Must be proficient in Windows Operating systems, MS Office, and knowledge of, and demonstrated efficiency with donor and/or sales customer relationship management databases.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
