Full-time position available for Sea Mar in Aberdeen and at the off-site Grays Harbor RSN facility.
The Grays Harbor Diversion Coordinator will provide initial assessment and recommendation for care as well as identifying any ancillary services that may be necessary to support client engagement and progress in treatment.
The coordinator will utilize best practice treatment modalities to include Moral Recognition Therapy, Chemical Dependency Education, Group therapy and Individual and Family therapy as required.
The Diversion Coordinator will maintain client files with regular reports to the Prosecutors Diversion Team and will participate in regular case reviews with the County Diversion Case Manager to assess client’s individual progress and needs.
Applicants are expected to subscribe to the disease concept of chemical dependency with the belief that total abstinence is required for ongoing recovery from alcoholism and other drug addiction.
The Diversion Coordinator will participate in training’s and supervision to other CDPT’s as required by the agency.
Provides screening and evaluation of individuals and refers them as needed to other treatment/service programs as are available in the facility and in the community. Provide outpatient, chemical dependency treatment consisting of group counseling, Individual counseling, MRT, educational, and case management services, per Sea Mar standards and full compliance with the County Diversion guidelines. The CDP supervises Trainees if they are assigned by the Site Manager, Substance Abuse Clinical Coordinator or Behavioral Health Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess the required college certificate that qualifies them to be a CDP. In addition this person may possess a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred. The individual must clinical competence in facilitation of MRT (Moral Recognition Therapy). The CDP must meet the WA state supervisory requirements. Must have a “Chemical Dependency Professional” license from the Department of Health. This is a senior-level job with over three years’ experience.
