Donor Development Manager – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Greater Los Angeles Chapter – Orange, CA

Position Title: Donor Development Manager –California Southland Chapter, Orange County/Inland Empire Office

Position Classification: Exempt

Basic Function: Provides lead support for the Donor Development Department’s Individual Giving program in Orange County/Inland Empire. Key projects and responsibilities include local management of the Year End Appeal, management of all year-round Individual Giving including online gifts, targeted Spring Appeals and Memorial & Tributes donations, liaising with organizers of third party events, and research & cultivation of new donors from campaigns in the OC/IE community.

Work Direction: Works under the direct supervision of the Donor Development Director (Greater Los Angeles).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead project manager for Individual Giving in the OC/IE territory.
Coordinate the OC/IE Year-End Appeal including content, logistics, gift entry, acknowledgements and identification of new individual donors (Major Gift & Annual Fund prospects) and foundation prospects.
Maintain a pipeline of General Fund, Annual Fund and potential Major Gift prospects, coordinating a ‘moves management’ plan and next steps with the Donor Development Director (Greater Los Angeles) and the National Director of Philanthropy.
In collaboration with OC/IE Campaign Staff, identify Annual Fund & Major Gift donor prospects from the LLS campaigns for further cultivation and stewardship.
Develop targeted e-mail appeals, modeled after the Greater Los Angeles region, in order to identify new donors. Administer all other Donor Development mailings and electronic communication.
Manage the Memorial & Tributes program in order to achieve the budgeted goal. This includes outreach/acknowledgement of Memorial & Tributes gifts, legacy website page creation, and related outreach to local businesses.
Oversees the OC/IE Donor Development data entry into Donor360.
Ensure timely communication with organizers of third party events in the OC/IE area, ensuring proper staff support.
Track progress toward and help to meet budgeted goals for Donor Development department in the OC/IE region, and collaborate with Chapter leadership to develop Fiscal Year 2016 budget.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively multi-task.
Must be efficient, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficient in managing volunteers and interns as they conduct projects and administrative duties.
Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent computer skills and experienced with database management.
Bachelor Degree required
2+ years’ experience in Annual Fund/Individual Giving a strong plus
Valid Drivers License with the flexibility to work nights and weekends
