Dudley Promise AmeriCorps Member – Boston – BPE

Program Overview
Dudley Promise Corps (DPC) is a one-year AmeriCorps program serving BPE’s Teaching Academies: Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School and Dearborn STEM Academy, both Boston Public Schools. DPC leverages the power of national service to support all of our students such that they are on track to graduate, while simultaneously developing corps members as engaged civic leaders committed to social justice. The DPC Priority Deadline is January 31st, 2017.

Program Highlights
Serve 5 days per week, working with either grades preK-5 or grades 6-12
Accelerate the academic growth and achievement of the students we serve

Promote student engagement through personalized support and enrichment programming

Participate in weekly professional development and training
Receive an AmeriCorps living stipend and access to health insurance
Eligible to earn an AmeriCorps Education Award [$5,775] upon successful completion of service

Qualifications
Be at least 17 years of age
Hold a high school diploma or GED by the start of the program
Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident
Agree to state and federal background checks
