Education Programs Administrative Manager – Hands On Children’s Museum

DESCRIPTION
Experienced, self-motivated & outgoing education professional to manage award winning museum educational programs and staff team. This key leadership role will oversee day to day operations, provide some direct instruction, drive program & curriculum development and elementary outreach for the Museum’s growing education department. The position has responsibility for multi-program budget, staff and volunteer oversight, and standard operating procedures that incorporate best practices. Must have strong experience in staff management including hiring, training/professional development, coaching, accountability and disciplinary actions. Excellent knowledge of Washington State Learning Standards and skilled at establishing relationships within the community including school districts, universities and other agencies. Responsible for education program grant administration and reporting. Must be an excellent communicator with colleagues, staff and the public. Our programs serve children ages three- grade 4 as well as adult events. We are looking for a flexible & creative educational leader who believes in the power of experiential informal education to inspire a life-long love of learning.
