The Northern Virginia Ethical Society, located near Washington DC, is an 87 member non‐theistic humanist community seeking a new professional Leader (Clergy person) in a half time position to be filled by June 2016. We have a dynamic and growing ethical education program for about 40 children. We are interested in a candidate who is trained in congregational leadership and is committed to the values of the ethical culture movement. Duties would include Sunday morning platform talks, pastoral functions, assistance in community building and membership expansion and some adult education. Certification as an Ethical Society Leader is expected, either initially or through working with the American Ethical Union Leadership Committee.
The leader is an employee of the organization, reports to the Board, and collaborates with the Board, Committees and members for program development and implementation.
