Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions, is currently searching for an Events Manager.
Working collaboratively with the Community Advancement & Events Manager, to whom this position will report, the Events Manager will support the production of two internally produced fundraising events to help meet revenue goals; oversee logistical production of donor stewardship and cultivation events and serve as department liaison for community wish opportunities.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently, while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Job requirements include:
BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
4+ years non-profit development or event production experience.
Auction and live auction procurement experience preferred.
Experience planning a fundraising walk preferred.
Excellent communication, project management, organizational and computer skills necessary.
Experience with computer systems and databases. Proficient in Microsoft Office. BidPal and Raisers Edge experience preferred.
Demonstrated record of customer service experience desirable.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight timelines and limited budgets.
Some early morning, evening and weekend work and travel required. Occasional spikes in working long hours.
Must thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
