Executive Director – Zeno|Math Powered – Seattle, WA
Is it possible that curious 3 to 5 year olds can learn math concepts? Is it possible for young kids to be excited about learning math? Is it possible for kids to enter kindergarten with foundational math skills already in place? Is it possible that learning math can be fun?
Yes! Zeno’s mission is to build a positive math culture for children by creating confidence and excitement for math; developing math skills through play; and improving kids’ confidence and competence in math by working through the adults in their lives. Through Zeno’s engaging, interactive, challenging and fun opportunities children become “math-powered” for life.
Zeno is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate executive director to lead the organization through an exciting transition. Zeno has more than 10 successful years making math fun and relevant for elementary school age kids from all backgrounds. Now it is building on those successes and expanding them to learning programs designed for children ages 3 through 5. The new executive director will be a transformational leader working with Zeno’s Board of Directors and its talented and committed staff to shape the organization’s new direction.
Zeno believes that with self-confidence and skills gained by experiencing math in unique, fun and unexpected ways, a person’s possibilities are infinite. Zeno is named in honor of Greek philosopher Zeno of Elea who first talked about the concept of infinity.
