Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake, Inc. is a nationally known non- profit agency based in Casco, Maine. Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy, and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families from around the world through the various stages of their journeys. The year-round program is free of charge to all families. We are seeking a motivated, professional Family Coordinator.

The Family Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment of families, facilitation of the admissions process, and providing continuity for families upon arrival at Camp Sunshine.

Responsibilities include:

Serving as Camp Sunshine’s primary liaison with hospitals, medical centers and clinics for referrals of families to Camp Sunshine.
Design, implement and execute a program to generate and nurture relationships with referring center staff including outreach and visits on an annual basis.
Managing the family application process
Acting as primary staff contact for visiting families, helping with transportation and other special arrangements.
Insuring a high quality of personal service and hospitality to visiting families
Monthly reporting of recruitment initiatives, statistics, etc.

Requirements:

Degree in Social Work, Child Life or similar field is required
At least 5 years of experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
Previous experience with maintaining databases
Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage, prioritize and delegate tasks
Strong organizational, multitasking, problem solving skills
High ethical standards, independent, reliable, self motivated, and detail and results orientated
