Girls’ LEAP Self-Defense Program Coordinator II – Girls’ LEAP Self-Defense – Boston, MA

Position: Part time, interim hourly employee

Based: Dorchester

Hours: 10-15 hours/week

Reports to: Program Manager

Close Working Relationship: Program Coordinator I

The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include: planning and overseeing the delivery of 8-12 high quality Girls’ LEAP Self-Defense programs each season.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop positive working relationships with current Community Partners
Recruit and develop relationships with new Boston-area Community Partners
Oversee partnership with Boston Public Health Commission to deliver collaborative programming that integrates Girls’ LEAP curriculum with sexual health workshops for high school girls

Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records of programs, community partners and staff
Operate using cyclical communications plan that involves reaching out to partners on a weekly basis
Keep in regular communication with Program Coordinator I (who oversees workshop delivery and program paperwork), Program Manager (who oversees staff and volunteers), and Executive Director

Other tasks as assigned by Executive Director

Experience and Qualifications:

BA in related field (or in progress)
Valid MA Drivers’ license and regular access to reliable vehicle preferred, but not required
Ability to work with diverse groups of people and manage conflict
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work in a team environment
Organizational skills, including demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
Ability to efficiently schedule time and activities
Ability to maintain effectiveness with evolving tasks, responsibilities, or people
Strong oral and written communication skills and strong public speaking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Internet Software (including Salesforce)
