a) Tree Plantings Planned for May and June 2015 Implement tree planting projects already planned for May and June 2015 and develop additional plans as needed to plant 250 trees by June 2015, including outreach to volunteers and project partners, ordering trees, staffing and photographing planting events, recordkeeping and reporting to funders.
b) Planning for future Tree Plantings in 2015 Identify sites for at least 350 more trees to be planted in 2015 and/or plan tree giveaway events, and initiate and manage the approval process with Baltimore County DEPS to enable these trees to be planted in Fall 2015. Priority will be given to private locations including homeowners and institutions (neither of which require County approval), and street trees (which do require County approval) consistent with SWAP goals. Stream buffer plantings, with proper County approvals, are also desired.
c) Storm Drain Stenciling
Identify locations and materials (stencils) and maintain records using Google Earth to mark at least 200 storm drains by June 30, 2015, and an additional 150 in Summer 2015, prioritizing 5-6 neighborhoods as per the SWAP Action Strategies table.
