Harlem Outreach Project Consultant – A Caring Hand The Billy Esposito Foundation – New York, NY

We are seeking to increase awareness of our services and enrollment in our program for grieving families in the upper Manhattan/Harlem community. We have developed partnerships with some stakeholders but are in need of expanding and strengthening our presence by engaging trusted community leaders and influencers as well as interacting with families directly. Specifically, we are seeking to:

increase perceived value and utilization of grief services
address the ongoing stigma and fear of getting grief related help
address barriers to utilization of services
increase enrollment in services
address individual and cultural concerns, fears, and roadblocks,

To accomplish these goals, we need to bridge the gap between what is available and what is accessed to address the challenge of families grieving alone.The project will occur in four different phases with specific objectives and activities in each phase.The project will occur in four different phases with specific objectives and activities in each phase:

assessment: identify community organizations, leaders, change agents & identify obstacles for families
planning : create and plan outreach and engagement activities for targets
implementation: develop, distribute, conduct appropriate engagement materials and events
evaluation: assess project
