Highly Organized Content and Community Manager – Mind Over Media – Culver City, CA

Mind Over Media is seeking a Content and Community Manager who will be responsible for executing and optimizing social media campaigns per the needs of our client, a well-known global foundation that supports initiatives in education, world health and population. This position includes launching and building community on social platforms, developing and managing content, tracking insights and identifying emerging platforms and tactics to ensure project success. This person must be creative, highly organized, self-motivated and passionate to work effectively across several platforms. This role reports to the Senior Director, Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing the content strategy, engagement philosophy and approach for various social platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram

Help establish social platforms and profiles for specific projects, ensuring that a consistent social narrative is deployed across channels

Contribute to the growth of social platforms, including dynamic community management and deployment of engagement strategies

Write social posts, including captions, copy and content per the unique needs of various social channels

Add to and maintain the editorial calendar for social channels

Engage in social listening and research to make decision about content curation and community engagement

Leverage insights and analytics to drive decisions about optimizing social channels

Generate regular social media reports for clients and internal monitoring

Stay abreast of relevant trends in marketing, social, digital media and pop culture

Requirements

At least two years experience managing social platforms and creating social content in a digital marketing environment

Experience leveraging analytics tools to make data-driven decisions (ie. Google Analytics, Attentive.ly, Nuvi, FB and Twitter dashboards)

Exceptional communication and writing skills with the ability to craft a messages to fit any medium

Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a quickly changing digital environment

Experience with Photoshop, Dropbox, Google Drive, WordPress and social posting platforms (ie. Hootsuite, Percolate, SproutSocial) is preferred

Knowledge of the education space and teacher development is a plus
