House Manager – Santa Fe Desert Chorale – Santa Fe, NM

The Santa Fe Desert Chorale, a fully-professional chorus celebrating its 33rd year, seeks a House Manager for its Winter Festival Season (7 performances and 1 event between December 15 and December 23, 2015).

Responsibilities include:

Preparing the concert venue before each performance (arrive 2 hours before the concert);
Training and supervising the volunteer usher core;
Creating a welcoming atmosphere for the audience;
Resolving any audience-related problems as they arise;
Closing the concert hall and returning it to its pre-concert state.

Skills desired:

Team player with excellent people-skills, organizational talent, and professional demeanor. Appreciation of classical music is an asset. Previous ushering/house management experience is a pre-requisite. EMT training a plus.

This is a contract position and may be renewed for the summer season at the discretion of the Executive Director.
