International Project Management Consultant – Atlas Service Corps – Washington, DC

Atlas Corps seeks an internationally-minded, detail and process-oriented, team-player to join our team as a Project Manager in a consulting role beginning in mid October, pending the approval of outstanding grants. This would be a term-limited position with the potential of continuing long-term. We are seeking applications now, and will respond to candidates once the grant is awarded (est. mid-September).

About the position:

The Project Manager is a professional with experience in event managament, leadership development and international exchange, who has excellent attention to detail and a desire to support team goals. The purpose of this role is to help implement an international exchange program that will bring leaders from Latin America to the United States. The key responsibilities of this role include implementing logistics, providing in-country support, and ensuring virtual engagement with the participants post-departure.

We expect this consulting engagement to be between 150 and 170 hours begin in October with the most significant level of investment in the first 3 to 4 months followed by a more modest level of effort in the remaining 6 to 9 months. There is an opportunity for this initial, short-term position to transition into long-term employment based on the performance of the Project Manager and the growth of Atlas Corps.

Benefits: The starting salary for this position will be commesurate with experience.

Preferred candidate has experience working in Washington, DC
Experience in event planning.
Background/interest in Latin America.
Background/interest in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and/or technology for social change.
Spanish language proficiency a plus.
