JOB DESCRIPTION: Night Manager

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt, Part-Time Causal

SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Night and Weekend Supervisor

WORK SCHEDULE: As needed

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Night Manager (NM) for The Baltimore Station (TBS) is responsible for the immediate and individualized care and supervision of residents and facilities. This includes monitoring the clients regularly, doing perimeter and safety checks, implementing daily chores and maintain all logs of activity. The NM maintains direct accountability and supervision of residents at all times communicating to the treatment team these observations.

REQUIREMENTS (MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT)

CPR/First Aid Certified

LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED; BS Degree or related experience preferred.
Minimum one year experience working in a residential treatment, counseling setting or related field preferred.
Commitment to effectiveness, prioritizing efficiency and timely follow-through.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills; excellent public speaking skills.
Proficient typing and writing skills; writing samples must be provided.
Posses a basic knowledge of office equipment, including computers, facsimile, and copy machines, and a willingness to attend appropriate classes to increase knowledge as needed.
Basic skills in PC/ Word processing/ Microsoft Word/ Excel for Windows/ database/ spreadsheets/ systems.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Ability to meet short and long-term goals and provide a track record of successfully meeting deadlines.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal direct supervision.
Commitment to self-reflection and personal awareness as a means of being able to remain emotionally available and connected with residents, staff and other stakeholders, and function as an engaged team-member.
Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams preferred; expanding the organization’s role in engaging traditionally underserved communities, and self-awareness regarding issues of race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion/spirituality and disability.
Respect for the strict confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire.
