Job description
General Position Summary:
The Office Manager is an essential member of our team and is responsible for maintaining smooth, day-to-day office operations, supporting our Board of Directors and staff as needed, and assisting with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Essential Functions of the Job:
1. General administrative support including, but not limited to assisting with District operations, front desk reception, customer assistance (in-person and via telephone/email), light bookkeeping; maintaining office equipment, ordering supplies and services, data entry, grant documentation, and a wide range of other tasks.

2. Clerk for the Board of Directors focusing on Board meeting preparations, minutes, legal notices, web site meeting postings, dissemination of meeting packets, record keeping and assisting the Chair or members with special tasks, if requested.

3. Human resources support focusing on administering the District’s health and retirement benefit plans (coordinating benefit enrollment, renewals, updates, questions, etc.) and assisting with recruitment and on-boarding process for new District employees

Job Conditions:
The Office Manager will have an assigned desk, telephone, and computer at the District office. The District office is the primary work station for this position, and is a smoke-free and drug-free environment. The position involves extensive computer work. Long periods sitting, typing and reading from a computer screen may be required. Occasionally lifting or moving an object of moderate weight (e.g., boxes of printed materials or meeting tables) is required. Attendance at evening meetings is required.
