Overview: The Operations Manager oversees rental events in BRIC House, our multi-disciplinary cultural center designed to support artists and engage the public. The Operations Manager also assists with all aspects of operations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about management of a non-profit cultural organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee BRIC House rental and permit events at BRIC House; these have ranged from the governor speaking to the NYC Big Apps design awards to cultural events to high-profile private parties.
Manage rental customer service, contract and budget preparation and front of house event services.
Assist in marketing the BRIC House rental program to meet revenue goals.
Oversee space use calendar for BRIC House; communicate across programs to avoid conflicts and ensure proper planning for events.
Perform basic computer and telephone set-up and serve as liaison to IT staff for resolving problems.
Research and test new computer applications for administrative and program functions, and oversee implementation.
Assist with and provide backup for human resources and building service functions.
Oversee energy usage and efficiency programs for BRIC House.
Assist with program assessment and financial analysis tasks.
Participate in BRIC-wide Programs Committee to assist in planning programming to activate BRIC House.

Desired Education/Experience/Skills

Bachelors Degree
At least five years of experience in an administrative position, including events management, contract management, office administration, office IT or related areas
Excellent IT skills, including database applications and Excel
Strong organizational and writing skills
Excellent communication and people skills; flexible team player

Compensation & Schedule

Full-time, generally Monday-Friday, but some evenings and weekends are required for events. Salary approximately $45,000 plus full benefits package.
