POSITION: The Client Service Office provides services to recipients of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Veterans Benefits. The Payee Case Manager, under the requirements of the Social Security Administration and Veterans Administration, acts as payee ensuring that recipient’s benefits are used for his/her health and well-being. As a member of the Client Services Office (CSO) this position staffs a reception window daily, providing a variety of services to clients and greeting other visitors to the agency.
PROGRAM: Located in Pioneer Square, our Client Services Office (CSO) provides free mail and banking services for homeless and low-income people. For those who are homeless, a mailing address provides stability and the opportunity to apply for benefits, seek employment, access resources and exercise the right to vote. One of our most basic services, access to the CSO is available on a drop-in basis during regular business hours.

STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
HOURS: 40 Hours per Week
SCHEDULE: Days 8:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
SALARY: Within Compass ranges

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s desired, preferably in social work or a related field, or relevant work experience, certificate and/or equivalent continuing professional development or education.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social service setting providing services to low-income/no-income individuals/households.
1 year of case management dealing with issues of homelessness or supportive housing, mental illness, substance abuse, and/or employment, desired.
Familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.
