Purpose Portfolio (the Lab’s first ‘experiment’) makes engaging in social impact issues effortless…and fun. Our app and web dashboard combine great story-telling and discovery with easy donation, volunteer, and advocacy opportunities that help the very best charities and social businesses in the world. As users engage, they get updates from the organizations they supported, and dashboard reporting on their overall social impact footprint.

ABOUT THE POSITION: The foundation of Purpose Portfolio is our portfolio of field partners: world-changing charities, community projects, and social businesses who are exemplary in their field and are making a real, meaningful difference in the communities they serve.
Portfolio Coordinators cultivate this portfolio, and interact personally with some of the most dynamic founders, inspiring leaders, and selfless provocateurs in the world.
Be a part of an international team of rockstar volunteers who are like-minded, passionate, and engaged in making the world a better place.
5-10 hours/week
1-2 weekly 1-hr Skype meeting(s) with our international portfolio development team
Work with experts on an emerging methodology to research, evaluate and get to know great organizations. Become the smartest person in the room on what it takes to run a great social change organization, make, and measure meaningful change.
Interface with Portfolio Stewards (global team of experts who recommend organizations for the portfolio)
Coordinate with contacts at recommended organizations to assemble profiles on portfolio candidates
Assess organizational and values fit of portfolio candidates
Shepherd inducted portfolio partners through the on-boarding process
Help inducted organizations craft their stories and package their impact for communication to a mass market
REQUIREMENTS
5-10 hours per week for the duration of the internship or volunteer position (varies by individual: between 3-12 months)
An interest or background in nonprofit management or international development.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to interact appropriately with a global community of portfolio candidates and stewards
Administrative skills; interview and notation, media standards, web research, data management.
