Clean Energy Project, Inc (CEP) is seeking an energetic Program and Outreach Directors to join our team.
About CEP: CEP is a small but mighty non-partisan, non-profit dedicated to powering the clean energy economy through education and engagement on the economic benefits of clean energy. The goal of CEP is to grow the clean energy economy and create jobs in Nevada and the West through policy development. CEP compiles and promotes the economic benefits of investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy through public education events, outreach and media. We do this by partnering with businesses and business focused organizations, federal state and local government, and community organizations. CEP focuses on the “business of clean energy” and is a technology neutral organization

Reports To: Executive Director
Job Description: A successful Program and Outreach Director will work closely with the Executive Director on the following key operational areas: Strategic Planning and implementation, Program development and management, and Community partnerships.
Job Activities:
Assist in the implementation of CEP’s board approved strategic plan of educating and engaging Nevadans on the economic benefit of clean energy development.
Develops and conducts education programs to inform the community on the benefits of a Clean Energy economy.
Cultivates partnership opportunities with business and community leaders in Nevada
Identifies outreach opportunities and implements engagement plans and strategies to promote the economic benefit of clean energy development.
Develops and maintains outreach campaigns with community partners and organizations.
Develops effective education materials to support outreach and engagement.
Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
Qualifications:
—Knowledge of environmental policies, politics and the legislative and regulatory process in Nevada.
--Demonstrated experience in non‐profit organizational program, development and management. (required)
—Demonstrated successful community organizing experience including outreach to policy makers, community leaders and “grasstops”. (3 years required)
—Knowledge and experience of how the media works, the needs of journalists and how to get stories placed, and proven success creating earned media. Knowledge of digital media.
—Demonstrated success in working with diverse communities and ability to work well with teams and coalition partners. (required)
—Excellent oral and written communication skills. (required)
—Good listening and communication skills. (required)
—Strong organizational skills; detail oriented. (required)
—Ability to work well under pressure, juggle competing demands, and maintain good working relations with colleagues and partners. Able to work effectively as a team player. (required)
