Job Description:
Food First, Inc. continues to help people make better lives for themselves and their families by providing resources to housing, shelter, food and social service programs, throughout New York City, as well as life sustaining programs overseas. Responsibilities: Oversight of the day to day operations of the program including supervising staff of (7) seven employees. Identify needs and implement changes in services as necessary in consultation with administration. Evaluate service delivery effectiveness and efficiency and documents methodologies. Facilitate individual and family sessions as well as support groups. Conduct psycho-social assessments on clients. Perform case management, client advocacy, and crisis intervention as needed for high risk cases. Experience in Congregate Care/Scattered Site is a plus. Must be knowledgeable of HASA. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
LMSW and 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience in community educational and recreational program for HIV/AIDS population. Ability to work as part of a team and manage collaboration with wide ranges of entities.
Ability to work evenings. Bilingual English/Spanish a must.
