Responsible for the administration and operation of Gila Aging Services. Plans, directs, and coordinates all levels of management structure of the program. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Recruits, hires, orients, trains and supervises staff
Responsible for maintaining program budget
Develops, initiates, and implements approved administrative policies and procedures relating to the program
Designs and develops program services and functions according to guidelines and grant applications
Responsible for grant/proposal writing and fundraising
Maintains program accountability and oversees compliance to contract and licensing agencies
Overall responsibility for resolving staff and client issues
Responsible for public relations, community education and program communications
Develops Program policies and procedures
Promotes community support from local government, service clubs, churches, etc.
Represents the agency in the community
May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Human Services or related field
2 years of Social Service or related experience
2 years of supervisory experience
Experience working with target population
Proven strong communication skills – oral and written are clear, concise, and in a organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar and tone
Valid driver’s license for State of Arizona, proof of insurance and minimum standard 39 month MVR report
Obtain State of Arizona Fingerprint Level One Clearance Card
Desired Qualifications
Master’s in Social Service Administration or related field
Bilingual, English/Spanish verbal and written
Additional years of directly related experience
