Program Manager – Dress for Success Oregon – Portland, OR

Our Job Success Program Manager is a critical link to our client’s continued success in their work and life.

The Job Success Program Manager is responsible for coordination of the Professional Women’s Group (PWG), Helping One Person Excel (HOPE) Program, and the Dress for Success Mentor Program. The goals of these programs are to assure that women stay employed, advance in their careers, and reach self-sufficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities
1. Oversight of the Professional Women’s Group and HOPE Program to insure program activities align with DFSO’s mission, goals, and strategic plan. Responsibility includes evaluating the effectiveness of these programs and adapting curriculum to increase success.
2. Develop the curriculum for PWG and HOPE programs.
3. Design and facilitate all PWG and HOPE meetings and events including interviewing and selecting guest speakers, invitation creation and distribution, preparing meeting materials, coordinating meal providers, gift give-away, and childcare.
4. Manage communications with PWG and HOPE program members to be aware of their needs. To meet these needs, connect clients with opportunities in the community that will assist them in being healthier and more self-sufficient, including coordinating the mentoring program.
5. Full cycle management of the Dress For Success Mentor Program that includes: orientations; application creation, program management; working with and managing volunteer coordinators; high volume phone calls; matching mentors and mentees with great personal regard; communications through social media; constant recruitment of mentors; and facilitating quarterly meetings and annual events.
6. Manage program budget to be cost effective; manage and document use of Client Services Fund.
7. Manage any other tasks necessary to meet PWG, HOPE, and Mentor program objectives, which include communication with the Dress for Success Worldwide PWG Director. Worldwide tasks include reporting, conference calls, and activities regarding the Success Summit and the Community Action Project. Attend the annual meeting requiring multiple overnight stays and air travel.
8. Continued networking in various groups and organizations to recruit speakers and potential mentors.

FULL-TIME: 40 hours per week flex-time with monthly night and weekend work hours required.

Qualifications and Education:
Required
Ability to:
• Work independently with limited direction;
• Organize workload to meet changing priorities, deadlines, and diverse needs of the organization;
• Research, organize, and present complex and abstract concepts in a clear, accurate, interesting and persuasive manner.

Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and proof of car insurance.

Working knowledge of:
• Microsoft office
• Work source development and social services experience
• Interviewing skills
• Budget management
• Group dynamics and facilitation.
Desirable:
• Recruiter experience with emphasis on retention (Highly desirable).
• Degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or related field OR an MSW.
• 4 years demonstrated experience in a business or non-profit environment in the development of educational curriculum for adults, or similar experience.
• OR 2 years experience in project management with an emphasis in program development.
• OR the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

SALARY: starting in the mid $30’s
