PROGRAM MANAGER
HEALTHCARE FOR THE HOMELESS SERVICES
JOB SUMMARY
The Homeless Program Manager is responsible for the management of healthcare for the homeless services for West County Health Centers. This position is responsible for development and implementation of expanding healthcare for the homeless services supported by Federal HCH funding and other sources. The Program Manager will supervise the homeless program staff and is responsible for implementing contract requirements associated with local and federal grants. The Program Manager takes a leadership role in developing healthcare for the homeless programming, and works with other members of the WCHC management team to ensure service-delivery based on the values inherent in WCHC’s mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
(Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in advocacy, housing, or homeless services, or similar work in a client service setting. Two (2) years of supervisory experience and project management are desirable.
Other Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a professional manner. Meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with quality assurance practices and reporting to public and private funders.
Able to communicate and work effectively under stressful conditions with people who are economically disadvantaged, mentally ill or chemically affected, including people who may present challenging behaviors.
