Program Manager of Equitable Development

The Program Manager of Equitable Development will support – through policy analysis, research, technical assistance, and advocacy – local and regional policy and advocacy campaigns that advance equitable development through land use, housing, and transportation rights. The Equitable Development Coordinator will also participate in local and regional coalition building and trainings, such as our Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute.

Job Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience and knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:

Masters degree in urban planning, urban studies, environmental studies, economics, public policy, or equivalent experience.
At least three (3) years experience in public policy, public administration, public health, urban planning, community development, or social/environmental justice field.
Experience developing and leading successful policy campaigns and/or programs focused on environmental, social and/or economic justice.
Ability to build effective relationships with community, policy, labor and government stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience working on regional equity and climate policy, urban planning (land use and ProgramDevelopment climate preferred), and housing rights from an equity perspective.
Understanding of environmental, social, and economic justice issues and a demonstrated commitment to positively impact low-income communities and communities of color.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
