Program Manager – OLP Foundation – Washington, DC

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion for and interest in human trafficking, and experience and skills in research, web content management, writing and editing for the web, and site and program managment.

Human Trafficking Search (HTS) (www.humantraffickingsearch.net) is the global resource and research database on human trafficking. The database consists of academic journals, reports, research studies, congressional testimony, news articles, and other primary and secondary sources curated by experts in the field.

The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and growing HTS. The person in this position operates very independently, therefore he/she must be well organized, disciplined and self-motivated.

The Program Manager writes and updates all content for the website and social media accounts, adds to and updates the HTS database, works closely with the technical team to manage and update the website, and manages and writes for a weekly blog. In addition to the responsibilities for HTS, this person will be expected to engage in some original research related to human trafficking, and will have a few responsibilities related to other OLP Foundation projects and activities.

Web Site Content and Database Management

Research and find high quality primary and secondary resources related to human trafficking to add to the database;
Update and edit the content on HTS’s static pages;
Closely manage HTS’s website analytics, noting trends and make changes to the website accordingly;
Prioritize needed enhancements and troubleshoot problems;
Stay appraised of developments in the field related to human trafficking;
Other tasks as needed.

Manage Blog and Social Media Channels

Manage the weekly blog, regularly writing pieces and inviting experts in the field to write;
Regularly update and monitor HTS’s social media accounts.

Other Responsibilities

Take on an original research project related to human trafficking;
Assist with other OLP Foundation projects and activities as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in and strong understanding of website analytics;
Experience working with WordPress, Google Analytics, and Google Adwords;
Experience managing social media accounts (including Facebook and Twitter) on behalf of organizations;
Experience running online campaigns is a plus;
Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in human trafficking;
Strong writing, communication, relationship, and technical skills;
Entrepreneurial and self-driven approach.
