Girls Incorporated of San Diego is a private, non-profit agency serving girls ages 12-18. We are an affiliate of Girls Incorporated national organization, the nation’s leading voice for girls. Our programs for girls gives equal concern for careers and life planning, health education, leadership and community action, self-reliance and life skills, culture and heritage, academic achievement, and excellence in math, science, and technology. Our programs have proven to be effective in inspiring girls to become Strong, Smart and Bold. This position will implement various programs to girls ages 12-18.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Program Director will plan, facilitate, evaluate and coordinate a variety of youth and parent programs which can include: teen pregnancy prevention [comprehensive], violence prevention, body image, substance abuse prevention, college and career readiness, STEM; work with Program Director on overall offsite programming logistics, cultivation and improvement, and special projects; long-term potential to move into a more supervisory role overseeing a team of direct reports. As the agency expands its reach, will also work closely with the Girls Inc. of San Diego Board of Directors.

To ensure goal of 100+ girls served, secure programming at past and present schools, libraries, and community centers
Build relationships with offsite liaisons to ensure smooth processes for duration of program time.
Work with Program Services Manager in developing improved relationships with site liaisons, parents and the local community.
Expansion
Develop partnerships with new sites in diverse geographic locations to better serve San Diego County
Generate new leads for program offerings to serve diverse audiences
Facilitation
To inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold, prepare program sessions with keen understanding of youth and youth related issues.
Deliver interactive and informational presentations to parents to ensure all around support for youth.
Facilitate programs with genuine passion at outreach sites and programs throughout San Diego County.
Serve sincerely as a youth advocate to all youth, especially to those in crises and in need of role modeling, resources and advocacy.
Recruit and retain participants for the duration of programs to successfully educate and fully connect with youth.
Evaluation
Work with Program Director to be in compliance with grant evaluation efforts.
Ensure accurate data collection at all teen offsite programs to illustrate an accurate measurement of success of programs and challenges needing to be overcome.
Financial
Oversee and track program-related expenses and revenues in alignment with annual budget
Assist in developing the annual Program Department work plan and budget
Other
To ensure accountability and compliance with grants and other funding measures, be responsible for accurate and required paperwork: logs, attendance, records, etc. and provide periodic updates on evaluation efforts.
As the organization continues to grow, represent and advocate for agency at collaborative meetings and coalitions within San Diego County communities.
As programming needs continue to grow, there may be an opportunity to train and coach program facilitators, and plan and oversee additional program personnel.
Actively contribute to the organizational culture of outstanding teamwork.
Actively engage in on-going trainings, conferences and workshops to continuously enhance skills and meet the needs of youth.
As needed, provide support to organization staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in adolescent program implementation.
3. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
4. BA/BS in human services, social work, education or related field.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database programs.
6. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
7. Must have reliable transportation.
8. Must successfully pass background check/Live Scan.
Salary Range: $37,000 – $38,000
