Program Supervisor – Brooklyn – The Family Center of New York City

The Family Center is seeking a dedicated professional with strong clinical, analytical and excellent communication skills to support and coach case planners as they deliver the Family Connections intervention to Brooklyn Families. Family Connections is a multi-faceted community-based program that works with vulnerable families, in their homes, to help them meet the basic needs of their children to prevent child maltreatment and achieve safety, well-being, and permanency outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing Staff – Coach, evaluate, develop, inspire people, set expectations, recognize achievements, manage conflict, align performance goals with agency goals, and provide feedback; delegate.
Problem solving – identify problem, conduct appropriate analyses, search for best solution, respond quickly to new challenges.
Decision making – Makes clear, consistent, transparent decisions, act with integrity in all decision making; distinguish relevant from irrelevant information and make timely decisions.
Strategic planning – Understand big picture and align priorities with broader agency goals, measures outcomes, use feedback to redirect as needed, evaluate alternatives, solutions oriented, can see connections within complex issues.

Quality improvement – Strive for efficient, effective, high quality performance in self and unit; deliver timely and accurate results; resilient when responding to situations that are not going well; take initiative to make improvements.
Provide weekly clinical and administrative supervision to bachelor and master level case planners and maintain supervisory log of supervision sessions.
Facilitate and / or participate in family team conferences.
Identify training needs of staff and develop training opportunities that address needs.
Assist in orienting new case planners to the program mission, core values and beliefs and their responsibilities in delivering quality services.
Attend agency senior staff meetings.
Maintain collaborative relationships with ACS and other community partner organizations to ensure that families receive appropriate referral and linkages to other service providers.
Ensure entries into PROMIS & CONNECTIONS are up-to-date, accurate and submitted within expected time frames.
Conduct and document monthly case record reviews.
Review and approve all case planner progress notes and FASPs.
Review and approve all FC related documents, i.e. (CASI, Evaluation of Change, CFA, etc.).
Participate in FC supervisory coaching sessions
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters in Social Work with license (LMSW) required
LCSW preferred
4 Years post Master’s experience working with children and families, 2 of which must be in a supervisory role.
Working knowledge of NYC Child Welfare System
Experience working within an evidence-based model, a strong plus
Computer literate
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility in schedule
Highly organized
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus
